I am a freelance writer and blogger. I write on anything and everything including culture, health, lifestyle, travel and positive ageing. Pop over to my Articles & Cuttings page to see examples of my published articles. Throughout Waltham Forest’s year as London Borough of Culture I was Assistant Editor of The E-List – reporting on the artists, makers and cultural life of the borough. My arts projects have ranged from curating and managing a 16-day literature festival in Waltham Forest to project managing an evening of over 40 events in 21 locations and businesses along Walthamstow High Street as part of Walthamstow High Street being selected by the London mayor as the first Night Time Enterprise Zone. Most recently, I was programmer and guest curator for Artists Open Houses produced by Artillery as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic and how artists, makers and creators in Waltham Forest were responding to life during lockdown. I programmed a series of six live Zoom events taking a virtual step inside the inaccessible private houses and creative spaces around the borough – selecting diverse artists and makers working across many art forms. I guest curated two of the virtual visits and invited other guest curators to introduce other artists.
But I do also write a lot about tits! I am a “one-tit wonder” and my blog Great Things about Cancer explores life with and beyond breast cancer – sharing my own story with humour and honesty. This blog has been featured in press articles including: The Mail online; The Sun online; and the Australian Women’s Weekly. Here are a couple of press articles related to my blog:

With over 20 years experience of working in the professional services sector, I have worked in marketing, business development and media relations at senior levels in law firms, barristers chambers and accountancy firms. I like to think I can turn my hand, my pen, my keyboard to most things – I might be “long in the tooth” but I’ve also had a long and varied career and love bringing my experience and energy to new projects.
