penny.rutterford@hotmail.com

I am a freelance journalist and marketing consultant. As Assistant Editor of The E-List I write on culture and the arts in North East London.

My blog www.greatthingsaboutcancer.com explores life with and beyond breast cancer and has been featured in The Sun, and The Daily Mail. I am a contributor to the Huffington Post and GOLDIE magazine.

As Relationship Coordinator for Artillery, the organisation behind the E17 Art Trail, I am responsible for securing corporate sponsors and advertisers for the 2019 E17 Art Trail and “Page to Pavement”. Both projects are firmly embedded in the wider programme for Waltham Forest as the first London Borough of Culture.

In 2013 I curated the first borough-wide literature festival in Waltham Forest “Words over Waltham Forest”. The programme included over 100 events and projects featuring local community groups and artists as well as Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, best selling crime writer Martina Cole and poet John Hegley.
